Emirates Winter – A time-lapse journey through UAE!

Emirates Winter

A time-lapse journey through UAE! A project that started in January 2011 and completed May 2011. My goal was simply to look for interesting and unique sceneries around the United Arab Emirates, and capture its beauty by using the technique of MoCo (Motion Control) Time-lapse photography.

I have traveled approximately 4000kms going around in and out the cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. I ended up going more than once on few locations which mostly I searched the coordinates online. There’s some tiny little setbacks like wrong coordinates, clouds disappearance, being turned down to take photos (after a 2 hour drive), miscalculated driving time, sets of glowing eyes in the mountain, some wild animal noise in the dark (well it’s not really a hindrance, but it is abit alarming) and few unnecessary technical issues, which is part of the learning experience.

Total length of the movie is 4 minutes and 17 second, which will be uploaded online by end of October 2011.

Tonio is a stow-away bear. Roxy, the mischievous owner, stole him from his nephew’s closet in Manila. Now, Tonio found himself in the land of nowhere, being at large and desperately looking on what he calls home.

He reportedly told his owner that he wants to climb the tallest building, Burj Dubai by himself. Tonio left his accommodation in July and when failed to return to his home, a search party was organized.
